A steeple from Hayward Field was the basis for the design of the table....seen below (left) in sad shape, sitting between two buildings at the track.

Custom Conference Table

Custom conference table for the UO Track & Field Offices, showcasing reclaimed steeple from historic Hayward Field.

This conference table was designed and fabricated by envelop design for the UO Track & Field Office, in conjunction with the remodel of the space. The basis for the design was a steeplechase steeple from historic Hayward Field, but the real puzzle was to incorporate it into a larger table support structure without obscuring it. Our objective with the design was to showcase the steeple in the center of the base support, like a trophy of sorts, that rests just below the glass tabletop without touching it. The base supports are constructed of 1/4" plate steel sandwiched between two layers of 1" Apple Ply.
